Songwriters Cate McCarthy and Mick Moffitt, play original and traditional Bluegrass, Old Timey Acoustic music.
Their songs tell local folk tales, stories of love and loss, poignant issues and songs of country.
This multi instrumental duo, create a uniquely Australian sound with more than a hint of the Appalacian Mountains.
Mick & Cate have toured extensively throughout Australia and abroad performing at many venues including Folk, Roots and Bluegrass Music Festivals. Most recently Mountaingrass in Victoria, Dorrigo Bluegrass and Folk Festival, Karuah Lost Highway Festival, Hill End festival, Kelly Country Pick @ Beechworth Vic and Wirrina Bluegrass and Roots Fest SA. They have featured at the upcoming Inland Sea of Sound Festival in Bathurst.
