I am drawn to the emotional connection of seemingly ordinary objects and domestic spaces - the quiet moments and tamiliar items that, when truly observed, hold deep personal meaning. Through still life painting, ! seek to elevate these everyday forms into reflections on connection, presence, and lived experience.

Each composition I create is arranged not only for their aesthetic qualities; they represent moments remembered, places visited, and emotions felt. I invite viewers to bring their own histories and memories to the painting, allowing their personal narratives to connect with the work. I draw inspiration from objects found in home interiors, markets, antique stores, and places discovered throughout my travels. Using multiple layering techniques and translucent glazes in oil paint, I build light, depth, and texture to create a sense of atmosphere and quiet stillness. Through this process, my still life paintings become meditations on time and place, memory and sentiment.

Tania Small is a Sunshine Coast Hinterland based Australian artist. Focusing primarily on still life paintings, Tania draws inspiration from the sentiment and memory attached to everyday objects. Using multiple layering techniques and precise detail, Tania achieves a level of realism in her paintings which connects a viewer to a moment of time and to an emotion.

Her current works are heavily influenced by French antiques and market places having in recent years attended two separate Atelier Artist in Residency placements in France. The first in 2023 at Chateau Bouthonvilliers in Dangeau and the most recent at Chateau de Cerisay in the Sarthe region in 2025.

Tania has been a finalist in several major Australian art prizes including the Lethbridge Small Scale Art Award 2025 Highly Commended and Finalist 2024), the Kennedy Art Prize (2024), Stanthorpe Art Prize (2024), Brisbane Rotary Art Prize (2024 and 2023), and Redland Art Award (2022). Tania has also been the recipient of first prizes in both the Kenilworth Arts Prize (2022) and Mary Valley Arts Festival (2022).

Monica Foye is a contemporary painter, educator, and creative mentor whose work celebrates the beauty of everyday life through expressive colour and movement. Her paintings often explore themes of nature, family, and coastal living, featuring subjects such as florals, figures, and playful seaside scenes that capture moments of warmth and connection.
Working primarily in acrylic and oil paint, she creates vibrant compositions that reflect her belief that art should be approachable, uplifting, and deeply personal. Many of her pieces are inspired by meaningful moments and memories, transforming lived experiences into lasting works of art. In addition to her studio practice, Foye is a passionate art educator and the founder of The Art Garage, a teaching studio that grew organically from small art lessons she began hosting for children around her kitchen table. What started as a handful of students quickly expanded into a thriving creative community where artists of all ages are encouraged to explore their creativity and develop their artistic voice.
Foye believes that creativity is inherent in everyone and that art should be accessible to all. This philosophy guides both her teaching and her artwork, fostering an environment where experimentation, curiosity, and joy are central to the creative process.

Melbourne-based artist Catherine Anne exploresthe delicate beauty of florals through watercolour,gouache, and lino printing. A former classical violinist and arts educator, Catherine’s practice isgrounded in reflection, observation, and the quietjoy of the natural world.

Will Hazzard is a young autistic artist. He had a love of art from a young age but art became a form of therapy with his autism diagnosis at age 9. His work aims for a connection with animals and the environment and the land he lives on and is often inspired by personal encounters with nature and his paintings represent life cycles and a spiritual connection with the earth. His paintings often feature built up layers of paint to simulate his need for things to be tactile.
