JUNE 9th – 26th

OPENING EVENT – Saturday 11th from 2pm

ARTS OUTWEST PRESENTS
WHILE THE WORLD WAITS
The launch includes a half hour session of original music by Adam Kerezy – who features on the original While the World Waits music album with a track ‘Waiting Game’, bringing together art from the eastern and far western side of the Arts OutWest region.
In 2021, Arts OutWest commissioned 15 central west songwriters across 11 local government areas in the region to each write a song reflecting their experiences of 2020 and created a compilation album of original music. It was titled While the World Waits.

We heard what it felt like. Now show me what it feels like…

In 2022, artists from across the Central West have been asked to use the CD as a jumping off point and inspiration for new work. This unique opportunity for regional visual artists to create artworks in response to regional music has been a labour of love for Arts OutWest. While the World Waits Exhibition is a curated exhibition in which selected artists each respond to one or more tracks, title or words on the album.

The exhibition will showcase work from across all mediums. You will see painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, moving image, animation, photography, glass and textiles.
